I’ve always believed that a well-designed space should feel like you, not like a showroom.

I’m Maranda, the designer behind MKD Interiors. With more than a decade of experience in residential and multi-residential design, I’ve had the opportunity to work across a wide range of projects, styles, and clients. My approach is thoughtful and collaborative, with a focus on creating spaces that are beautiful, functional, and, most importantly, personal.

My experience spans the entire design process, from developing concepts and space plans to selecting finishes, furnishings, lighting, and artwork. I have coordinated with vendors and contractors, and truly enjoy seeing a project through to installation. I particularly enjoy the details that make a space feel finished and intentional, while keeping the overall design grounded in how my clients actually live.

Over the past several years, I’ve worked with a variety of design firms and clients as an independent designer, bringing my experience and design perspective wherever it’s needed. That experience has given me the opportunity to work on everything from individual spaces to full-scale projects, while collaborating closely with clients, architects, contractors, vendors, and other design professionals.

At the heart of it all, I love getting to know the person behind the project. Your home is your habitat, and should reflect your taste, your routines, and the things you love, not simply follow a trend. My goal is to make the design process feel approachable, collaborative, and genuinely enjoyable from start to finish.
